Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb spoke to the SHINE students at Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary School. It was the certificate ceremony for the students, showing they successfully completed the SHINE mentoring program. It was a great time of celebration for the SHINE mentoring team, students and school staff.
We have finished our year commitment and the girl’s received their certificate of completion. They did a great job!
SHINE will now be featured monthly on WKYC 3News “We The People” in Cleveland. SHINE Founder Danita Harris will be a guest along with SHINE’s charity of the month. Shirley Fitzpatrick feeds and clothes needy families in East Cleveland. SHINE will donate hygiene items to those families at the July 20, 2024 meeting.

They help homeless women veterans, women transitioning from prison, and women processing life-altering trauma by providing housing and life skills training.
